Hubungan Pengetahuan, Dukungan Suami dan Sikap Ibu dengan Pemilihan Alat Kontrasepsi Implant di Puskesmas Pengarayan Kabupaten Ogan Komering Ilir Tahun 2025
Abstract
The contraceptive implant is one of the long-acting contraceptive methods (LARC) that is highly effective, with a success rate of more than 99%. However, its use remains low compared to short-acting contraceptive methods. The selection of implants is influenced by several factors, including knowledge, husband support, and maternal attitudes. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, husband support, and maternal attitudes with the selection of contraceptive implants at Puskesmas Pangarayan, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, in 2025. This research is quantitative with a cross- sectional design. The population of the study consists of all active family planning acceptors at Puskesmas Pangarayan in June 2025, totaling 30 people, with total sampling used as the sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted using univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi-Square test. The results of the study show that the majority of respondents chose to use implants (73.3%). Among the respondents, 21 (70.0%) had insufficient knowledge, 11 (36.7%) received husband support, and 11 (36.7%) had a positive attitude. The Chi-Square test results for the knowledge variable showed a p-value of 0.032, for husband support a p-value of 0.001, and for maternal attitudes a p-value of 0.028, all of which are less than α=0.05, indicating a significant relationship between knowledge, husband support, and maternal attitudes with the selection of contraceptive implants at Puskesmas Pangarayan, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, in 2025. It is expected that Puskesmas Pangarayan will enhance counseling and education efforts, as well as involve husbands in family planning programs, to promote positive attitudes and increase the selection of long-acting contraceptive methods, particularly implants.
