Mothers play a pivotal role in supporting the optimal growth and development of toddlers, making maternal knowledge an essential factor in this process. Adequate understanding enables mothers to implement appropriate developmental support strategies. This community service program aimed to enhance maternal knowledge regarding toddler growth and development through the use of the Teman Bunda pocket book. The activity was conducted by administering a pre-test questionnaire, followed by the provision of educational materials utilizing the printed pocket book. Findings demonstrated a significant improvement in maternal knowledge, with the proportion of knowledgeable mothers increasing from 42 (48%) prior to the intervention to 56 (64%) after the intervention. These results indicate that structured education combined with the Teman Bunda pocket book is effective in improving maternal knowledge of toddler growth and development.
Nurun NikmahSelvia Nurul QomariRila Rindi Antina

2025-10-282025-10-2872596710.36089/pgm.v7i2.2704DISEMINASI DARING PKM-PM AZIMATH ADVENTURE: PENGUATAN LITERASI NUMERASI SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR SEBAGAI FONDASI LITERASI KESEHATAN DAN REGENERASI MAHASISWA BARU
https://www.ojsnhm.com/PGM/article/view/2745

Numeracy is a fundamental skill that should be mastered from the elementary school level, serving not only academic purposes but also as a foundation for daily problem-solving and health literacy. However, the 2022 PISA results revealed that Indonesian students’ mathematics performance remains relatively low, underscoring the need for early interventions. Responding to this challenge, the Azimates team developed an innovative learning media, Azimath Adventure, to strengthen the numeracy skills of fifth-grade students at SD Negeri 2 Pangenjurutengah. The program employed a game-based learning approach, enabling students to engage in interactive mathematical activities. Pre-test and post-test results demonstrated improvements in students’ numeracy performance, indicating the effectiveness of this intervention. In addition to the school-based activity, the program incorporated a dissemination session conducted online via Zoom, targeting freshmen students of the 2025 cohort. This dissemination aimed to introduce the fundamental concepts of the Community Service Program (PKM), particularly PKM-PM, while also sharing practical experiences from the Azimath Adventure implementation. The session was structured into presentations, discussions, and interactive Q&A, attended by 53 participants, of which 48 were freshmen. The outcomes highlighted twofold contributions: (1) elementary students benefitted from enhanced numeracy skills as part of their cognitive and health literacy foundation; and (2) freshmen students gained initial understanding of PKM, strengthened motivation to participate in future community service projects, and developed awareness of program management. This integrated activity illustrates how combining school-based interventions with online academic dissemination can provide significant added value for both community partners and student participants. The program also demonstrates alignment with principles of health education (knowledge transfer), health administration (systematic program planning and management), and health research (evaluation and documentation of outcomes for future replication).
Heri Septya Kusuma

https://www.ojsnhm.com/PGM/article/view/2396

A patient safety incident could occur when providing healthcare to patients in a hospital. Health professionals must therefore be knowledgeable about patient safety in hospitals if they are to decrease patient accidents there. In this study, nurses at General Hospital PKU Muhammadiyah Mojoagung will have their level of knowledge about patient safety about preventing unforeseen situations assessed. In this descriptive quantitative research, 56 nurses consisting of 17 men and 39 women. 69.96% (n=39) of the respondents were between the ages of 20 and 29. Of these, 46.43% (n=26) were D3 Nursing graduates with more than a year's worth of work experience. As many as 50% (n=28) had received socialization from training. There were 94.6% good results (n=53) regarding nurses' knowledge. Three indicators, notably those for boosting efficient communication, lowering the risk of transmission connected to health services, and indicators for unforeseen situations, still require improvement. The level of knowledge of nurses has a positive impact on patients, so the implementation of patient safety will be better so that unexpected events can be avoided in hospitals. This is due to the fact that nurses generally have more than one year of hospital experience and have participated in outreach. Hospitals are able to carry out regular evaluations by carrying out supervision and outreach for patient safety.
Muhammad Iqbal Maulana Bakrun
